CCAC WBB Season Opener

Wildcats Fall Short in Season Opener

The CCAC Wildcats kicked off their season on the road in Erie, Buffalo, taking on the Erie Community College Kats. This game got off to sluggish start with both teams totaling 12 points in the first 10 minutes of action. The CCAC Wildcats women's team finished first half strong, leading Erie by 13 points at halftime, with a score of 27-14. However, in the third quarter, the Erie Kats made a remarkable comeback with a 14-0 run, taking the lead and ultimately securing a hard-fought 48-37 victory over the Wildcats.

Key players for the Kats included Alexandria Silverstor, who contributed 13 points, and Mikathy Samuels, who made a significant impact with 13 rebounds coming off the bench. On the Wildcats' side, De'Asia Boyd had a standout performance, leading all scorers with 18 points in a valiant effort.

 The Wildcats will have a chance to bounce back when they return to action on November 11 for a home game against Penn State New Kensington.
