“CCAC Men’s Basketball Rises to No. 14 Behind Elite Defense and Sharpshooting”
PITTSBURGH, PA — The CCAC Wildcats Men’s Basketball program continues its upward climb in the NJCAA DIII national rankings, moving from No. 15 last week to No. 14 in the newest poll. The rise reflects a fast-starting Wildcats team that has established one of the strongest defensive and perimeter-shooting identities in the country.
Through the early part of the season, CCAC has been dominant on the defensive end, averaging double-digit steals per game and generating pressure that forces opponents into mistakes. The Wildcats’ active hands, full-court effort, and disciplined rotations have allowed them to control tempo and turn defense into transition scoring.
Offensively, CCAC continues to separate itself with consistent long-range shooting. The Wildcats average 10 made three-pointers per game, connecting at an efficient 36% from deep. The combination of perimeter spacing and defensive energy has made CCAC a difficult matchup for every opponent on the schedule.
With November in the books, CCAC now shifts into a crucial December stretch. The Wildcats will face a strong lineup of programs including Owens CC, Lakeland CC, Garrett College, and Baltimore City CC — a series of contests that could position CCAC for another jump in the national rankings.
“We’re proud of the progress, but we’re nowhere near done,” said Head Coach Anthony Allen. “Our defense and effort have been the engine, and our shooting continues to give us confidence. December is an opportunity to prove we belong among the best.”
The Wildcats return to action on 12/8/25 as they look to continue their rise up the NJCAA national ladder.
