CCAC Men’s Basketball Climbs to No. 14 Nationally in NJCAA Division III Rankings
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) Men’s Basketball Team continues its historic start, officially climbing to No. 14 in the nation in the latest NJCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Rankings. The Wildcats move up one spot from last week’s position at No. 15, marking back-to-back weeks inside the national Top 15.
CCAC’s rise reflects its undefeated 7–0 record, strong road performances, and the program’s steady momentum as one of the fastest-improving teams in the country.
“This recognition is a credit to our players’ work ethic and team-first mentality,” the CCAC coaching staff said. “We’re proud of the progress, but we know ranking No. 14 means the expectations only get higher. We need to stay locked in, stay humble, and continue to build our identity every day.”
The Wildcats now enter a crucial December stretch with several major matchups that could further elevate their national standing. CCAC will face:
- Owens CC (Ohio)
- Lakeland CC (Ohio)
- Garrett College (Maryland)
- Baltimore City CC (Maryland)
These opponents provide a significant opportunity for CCAC to strengthen its resume as the team pushes toward Region 20 play and postseason contention.
The Wildcats remain one of the top defensive teams in the region, excelling in ball pressure, rim protection, and forcing turnovers. Offensively, CCAC has showcased balance, unselfishness, and efficiency from the perimeter.
