CCAC Baseball Opens Season with Doubleheader Split Against Jamestown Community College

The CCAC Wild Cats baseball team kicked off their season with an exciting doubleheader against Jamestown Community College. Despite facing an early 5-0 deficit by the end of the third inning in game one, CCAC showed resilience by putting up two runs in the fourth inning. However, they couldn't close the gap, ultimately falling 8-4. Outfielder Aidan McLaughin showcased his prowess, batting 2-4 with 2 RBI's, standing out despite the loss.

In game two, CCAC started slow, trailing 2-0 in the top of the first inning. However, they quickly turned the tables, responding with three runs in the bottom of the first. Pitcher Jason Triscila showed his mettle, settling in after surrendering two runs in the first inning, pitching a five-inning shutout from the second to the sixth inning, tallying six strikeouts. CCAC finished strong, clinching game two with a 6-2 victory, splitting the opening doubleheader.

Looking ahead, CCAC is gearing up for their next matchup against Bryant and Stratton Ohio at home on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. With the season underway, the Wild Cats are poised to continue showcasing their talent and determination on the diamond.
