Michaela Porter was a standout star at Obama Academy, scoring more than 1,000 career points. 2016 Pittsburgh City League Player of the Year and recent inductee into the Pittsburgh City League Junior Hall of Fame Named All-City throughout her high school career. Integral part of four city championship teams, Won the 2016 AAU adidas Gauntlet National Championship with the Western PA Bruins. Ranked as a three-star recruit by ESPN.

Michaela went on to play two seasons with the Cincinnati Bearcats after high school before finishing her undergraduate career at APP State. She is currently playing professionally in another country.

In the youth community, Michaela Porter is a true pillar, and many young ladies look up to her. We hosted Michaela's Free Youth Clinic at our Allegheny Campus gym this summer. It was a wonderful opportunity to help others. It was an excellent two hours of work, and the attendance was fantastic!

Justice Cuthbertson, our CCAC Men's Basketball Assistant Coach, was also present at the event and assisted with leading instruction for the youth participants.

Michaela said, "Let's continue to find ways to give back to our community and youth; they need it more now than we could ever imagine."

One of the essential CCAC Athletics goals is to improve the department's image as a "front porch" to the College. By emphasizing the Department's integrity and image to its internal and external audiences, such as students, faculty, and staff, the community, and alumni.

CCAC Athletics will continue to offer events for community engagement in order to engage the community and produce long-term results. When people from diverse parts of the community collaborate, they often discover that they have a lot in common.
